The object’s concept is built on restraint: omission here is as important as addition. Metal and wood are two energies, two different meanings; their union gives birth to a form where functionality dissolves into contemplation.
The substructure of pressed plywood is shaped by 3D milling and refined by hand, embodying the principles of shibu mi (渋み, Jap.)—restrained refinement, quiet elegance, and harmony of form.
Over time, the tabletop may change its color. This is intentional. It reflects the individual path of interaction with the object, making each piece unique and highlighting the beauty of impermanence and natural transformation.
